The differential pressure sensor measures the difference between the pressures in front of and behind the vehicle exhaust particle filter to calculate the accumulation of fine particles on the filter. The demand for particle filters has been increasing recently, not only for diesel engines, but also for gasoline engines. The differential pressure sensor is also being used to measure the pressure difference between in front of and behind the valve in order to precisely control the EGR rate in vehicles with LP-EGR (Low Pressure Exhaust Gas Recirculation). As a sensor used in emissions environments, it is highly resistant to corrosion and very precise in measurement.
