Automatic EV charging system

Hyundai KEFICO is researching and developing an automatic charging system to build a convenient and efficient electric vehicle charging infrastructure. The system combines an autonomous driving and mobile collaborative robot with a cable transfer device to expand the charging range of electric vehicle chargers, enabling access to vehicles in multiple nearby parking areas with just a single charger.
As a result, charging operators see the benefit of reduced electric vehicle charger installation costs and can also maximize charger operation rates. Because the automatic charging robot sequentially connects the charger when the driver makes a simple charging request through a smart device, this saves the trouble of waiting for the vehicle ahead to complete charging. Moreover, after charging is complete, the rush to move your vehicle so another vehicle may be charged is unnecessary.
