Electric Power Control Unit

  • EPCU (Electric Power Control Unit)

Power control unit is a complex control unit that integrate vehicle control unit (VCU), motor control unit (MCU), and low-voltage DC-DC converter (LDC).
Hybrid control unit (HCU) controls and manages overall vehicle operation, MCU drives motors efficiently, and LDC increases power conversion efficiency to provide stable power to 12V systems.
By integrating these systems, which previously operated separately, into a single piece of hardware, Hyundai KEFICO has increased development efficiency and strengthened price competitiveness.
In line with the trend of integrating electric vehicle functions and systems, Hyundai KEFICO is strengthening its product competitiveness by developing control units that integrate various control functions.
