EV Motor Control Unit

The motor controllers of an electric vehicle is a core component that controls the electric vehicle's driving motor.
It controls the motor's torque and rotation speed by taking into account surrounding information such as vehicle speed and load to enable control of drive torque according to the driver's intention. As it generates an inverter's PWM signal in accordance with the torque command from the host controller (VCU), it controls the motor according to the commanded torque by calculating the motor output and transmitting it to the host controller. Moreover, it is responsible for diagnosing faults by monitoring the voltage and current applied to the motor and the motor's temperature, and displaying fault information and status.
